The brown bear is a species of bear of the genus Ursus, widespread in the whole holarctic region. It is a quite strong animal belonging to the Ursidae family, it has a body length of 2,5 m, a shoulder height of up to 1,5 m and a maximum weight of 600 kg.
The brown bear can live up to 30 years in the wild an dup to 50 years in captivity. The brown bear has a thick fur, very appreciated, consisting of fluff and long hair. Although the ground colour is brown-coffee-coloured, the variations are quite large, from the reddish bears to the almost black bears.
