WILD BOAR
The wild-boar is a wild omnivorous mammal, generally a nocturnal animal. Its range includes all Europe, North Africa inclusive the Atlas mountains, a big part of Asia, stretching from the south to Indonesia. In Romania it populates the forests, beginning from the Delta and the river meadow of the Danube to the thicket of the Carpathians.
It is black-brown coloured. It produces sounds like domestic pigs. It wanders in sounders in the forests and agricultural lands from their skirts. It damages especially the maize and potato fields.
It can attack humans, that`s why the meeting of these animals must be avoided. The dentition adapted to the way of nutrition and it is formed of incisor teeth, canine teeth and wisdom teeth. Its body is strong, stuffed, laterally fat, rounded at the shoulders and wider at the loins. The long snout ends in a mobile disc, supported by a bone, that allows to dig even the hard soil.
